San Carlos, Mexico also has these attractions:

Guaymas and San Carlos were explored by the Spanish as early as 1535, but were not settled until the 18th century. Today, however, the Mexican shrimp industry and world class fishing are the hallmarks of Guaymas / San Carlos. The unspoiled beauty and inviting climate of this region, where the desert meets the sea, provides the draw to this area. Located 250 miles south of the U.S. border crossing at Nogales, Arizona, San Carlos is situated on the scenic Sea of Cortez.

San Carlos offers two marinas, an 18-hole golf course, tennis, excellent hotel accommodations, great restaurants, and many clubs for dancing. The lush desert terrain furnishes a unique setting for outdoor activities such as mountain biking or horseback riding, while the Sea of Cortez provides exceptional sports fishing, scuba diving, sailing, and other water sports.

A mild & dry desert climate with ocean breezes is found in San Carlos. Average daytime temperatures in March range from the mid-70's to the mid-80's, falling to the low 60's at night. Ocean temperature in March is in the low to mid-70's.
